Lyons VFW dance for food pantry Sunday

The Lyons VFW will be hosting a dance party from 1 to 5 Sunday, Nov. 16 to raise food and funds for the Lyons Community Food Pantry. The dance party will be hosted by Steve Wickman of Sodus, a guitarist and singer, inducted into the Hall of Honor at the NY State Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

He will be joined on the stage by his band, 'Dr. P and the Treatments.' The band plays classic rock, country, easy listening and much, much, more. Come to dance or just tap your toes. Food and gifts are being donated by local merchants and organizations.

Admission to the event is a donation of a canned good or other non-perishable food item. All donated food will be given to the Lyons Food Pantry. Cash donations are also welcomed and will be given to the pantry as well. Everyone is welcome. Families are especially encouraged to come to the VFW for this special event. There will be prizes and food and beverages will be served.

The dance is being sponsored by the American War Dads Auxiliary of the VFW. The Lyons VFW is located on Route 14 South in Lyons and is handicapped accessible. To learn more, call Betty at 946.6197 or Dionne at 315.719.7443.
