$150,000 grant for lodge at Williamson Park

Senator Michael Nozzolio recently secured a $150,000 state grant to construct a 2000 sq. ft. shelter lodge at the Town Park.

He made the announcement at the opening of the Williamson Town Loop Trail.

The new lodge will accommodate community gatherings of up to 100 people and open the park to year-round use. Currently, the Williamson Town Park is only open for three seasons.

The lodge will allow the park to remain open during the winter and open the parks extensive network of trails and open space to residents interested in winter sports such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The shelter lodge will also provide a facility for senior citizens to conduct activities at the park and all them to meet year-round and hold activities regardless of weather conditions.
