Quilt sale in Lyons Oct. 10 and 11

The Quilters Group at First Lutheran Church on Broad Street in Lyons is having a quilt sale today and tomorrow, 10 to 4 today, 8 to 2 Saturday.

Some are hand quilted, while other quilts are tied. There is a large selection of baby and children's quilts, in addition to lap quilts.

The Quilters have been meeting weekly for over 40 years to make quilts for various charities. More than 1000 quilts have been donated by the group to Lutheran World Relief, Church World Service, the Red Cross, and other organizations and individuals. The quilts are made from donated fabric.
