Community Camping Weekend at ALASA Farms Take a typical September weekend (a little rain, a little sun); add a big bonfire (perfect for cooking hot dogs and marshmallows); stir in a Chuckwagon Dinner and hours of Karaoke under the stars. Families and friends (ages three to 73) were the chefs for the night. They met in the beautiful camping area at Alasa Farms and took a Haunted Orchard Walk. The Community Camping Weekend was held September 27-28. Events included picking apples, exploring the fossil stream, hiking the local wooded trails, and visiting the animals at Cracker Box Palace. Lighting the bonfire led to hours of sharing the fun, food, and spooky moments. Rita Lesniak's Girl Scouts haunted the orchards as campers hesitantly walk the marked, ghoulish trails. ALASA Academy wants to instill in your children ... the pride and endurance that is their heritage, living and growing up here. The work ethic, positive outlook, and ability to develop the personalities of successful adults. Plan to join them next September to take a step back in time to relax and re-energize enjoying the friendship and activities on the farm and surrounding woods. For more information as the year progresses on this and other ALASA Academy activities, visit The Mangan family which owns Alasa Farms believes in the vision to expose children to life experiences and a special atmosphere for learning experiences. The Mangans have agreed to allow the ALASA Academy, Inc. to purchase 10 acres from them. Copyright
