Happenings First Baptist Church, 4212 East Main St., Williamson, will be serving their monthly free lunch on Monday November 3. All are welcome to this meal, which will be served from noon until 1 p.m. For more information call 589-2384. Good friends are like angels, you don't have to see them to know they are there. The Marion Senior Citizens 'dish to pass' luncheon is set for Tuesday, October 28 at noon. Following lunch, I will present a program on the Second Reformed Church on Mill Street. The afternoon of October 18, friends of the Marion Museum came to visit, tour and taste the Spicy Apple Twists and the Apple Butter from a recipe of the late Ina Benton. Displayed for the first time was an embroidered apron and a special girls coverlet, loaned by Clara Mae Mellema Collward. Both were created by her mother, when Clara Mae was a girl at the age of 4 or 5 years. Tiny, beautiful stitches were added to white feed bag material to use what was at hand in the day's gone by. We covered lots of topics of conversation, including family doings, and the upcoming holidays and that the museum will be open again on Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment. If it takes four quarts to fill a gallon, how much does it take to Philadelphia? Outdoor carpeting, at the Marion United Church, has been replaced. Now the carpet matches the freshly painted front doors. October 24 - PTA Family Fun Halloween Night; October 27 - Band Concert at 7 p.m. at the high school Can you tell me where I can get quinces? November 1 - Marion Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts food collection.
