Arts Council has quilting classes

Wayne County Council for the Arts - 108 West Miller Street in Newark - will offer quilting classes.

Kathie Lewis of 'Just Sew Sew' in the South Main Emporium will be teaching the classes. Quilters may sign up for classes on Tuesdays from 9 to noon or Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m.

There is a fee for the classes, with discount for Council members.

To register, call the Arts Council, 331.4593 or Kathie Lewis, 946.4050. Participants will be given a list of supplies to bring to the first class.
