SODUS - Cub Scout Pack No. 111 of Sodus held its annual Blue and Gold Ceremony March 1, in the Sodus Primary Cafeteria. The ceremony started with a traditional Cub Scout flag ceremony led by second year Webelos.

Cub Scout leader Pat Torres and Pack Treasurer Adrienne Gulino led the advancement ceremony by telling an adventurers tale about an incredible journey and the lessons learned.

The adventurer in the tale learned basic skills, as the Bobcat Scout earners did, such as to be true and brave like the new Bear Scouts, to be honest and trustworthy like the new Webelo Scouts and to ask for help like the new Webelo II Scouts. The adventurers last lesson was to learn about honor just like the outgoing second year Webleos did.

The Cub Scout Arrow of Light award is the last award Cub Scouts earn before crossing over into the world of Boy Scouting.

Pack No. 111 honored the outgoing second year Webelos: Dylan Cornwell, Andrew Hines, Gabriel Orrange Paton, Bryce Premo, Jacob Smith, Chase Thompson, Justin Toor and Jacob Torres with the Arrow of Light.

Following the ceremony, cake was served to the Cub Scouts and their families.

Then, Dylan Cornwell, Andrew Hines, Gabriel Orrange Paton, Bryce Premo, Jacob Smith, Chase Thompson, Justin Toor and Jacob Torres crossed over to become Boy Scouts.

Boy Scout Troop No. 111, along with Leaders Jim Hoover, Peter Mares and David Shultz, called each boy by name and welcomed him into Boy Scout Troop No. 111.
