Author to speak at Village Book Market April 18

PALMYRA - Author Susan Peterson Gateley will talk about birds and Lake Ontario at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18 at the Village Book Market on Main Street in Palmyra.

Spring, a time of change, is also a good time to see changes in bird populations as the flocks return to the area. Long time lake watcher and sailor, Gateley has been watching and listening to the birds by the shore. She says the birds are indicators of things that are happening out on the lake, as well as on shore, things that could impact the health and well being of humans.

Join Gateley at the Village Book Market to find out what the birds are indicating, as she shares information from her recent publication, 'Lake Ontario Birding Hot Spots,' and from her newest book.
