Treble voices from St. Peter's join with community chorus

GENEVA - The treble voices from St. Peter's Community Junior and Senior Choirs join with the Hobart and William Smith Community Chorus to perform 'St. Nicholas Cantata' by Benjamin Britten at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 at St. Peter's Church at 149 Genesee St. in Geneva.

'Saint Nicolas' is a dramatic depiction of the life of Nicolas, Bishop of Myra, patron-saint of children, seamen and travelers, who was born in the first half of the fourth century.

Legends about his life spring alive with the English text and forceful orchestral accompaniment. Concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call 789-4910.
