1939 film retrospective to run entire year LYONS: 1939 has long been considered the 'Golden Year of Movie Classics', with more classic films released in that year than in any other. Since 2009 is the 70th anniversary of those movie classics, beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, the Lyons Main Street Program will host a retrospective presentation on the big screen of historic Ohmann Theatre in downtown Lyons. The film retrospective will continue to run every other Thursday night for the remainder of the year, including New Year's Eve. A special 70th anniversary screening of 'Gone With The Wind' will be shown in its entirety Sunday, July 12. Local Civil War organizations will dress in period costumes for the occasion.
