Sodus Council of Churches plans Lenten Events SODUS: The Lenten breakfast program will start on Ash Wednesday, February 25, at the parish hall at the United Third Methodist Church in Sodus. Please join us for coffee and fellowship at 6: 45 a.m. and a delicious breakfast at 7. A presentation with the theme, 'Are YOU Ready' follows breakfast. This program is held so that those who need to get to work are able to do so. It is not necessary to make reservations for this program. However, a small donation is requested to help defray expenses. Everyone is invited to attend. The Lenten study and luncheon program will also begin on February 25. The location of this event changes, each program being at a different church. The luncheon is preceded by a Lenten study under the direction of Gail Heimberger which is held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. and the luncheon follows at 12:00 p.m. There also will be a speaker at the luncheon. The first study and luncheon on February 25 will be held at the United Third Methodist Church. On March 11 the First United Presbyterian Church, will host the second luncheon. Catholic Church of the Epiphany will host the luncheon on March 25th and the last luncheon and study will be held April 8 at the Sodus Point United Methodist Church. Reservations need to be made for the luncheons and a $3.00 donation is suggested. Everyone is invited to attend this program also The World Day of Prayer will be held at the United Third Methodist Church on March 6 at 7 p.m. St. John's Episcopal Church invites everyone to join them for their Ash Wednesday service which begins at 7 p.m. on February 25 at the church at 54 West Main Street, Sodus. Everyone is invited and an item of nonperishable food is a suggested donation on this evening. This food will be given to the Sodus Point Food Cupboard. Copyright
