Seneca County Workforce Development
offers diversity training

WATERLOO - Seneca County Workforce Development will offer 'Close Encounters with Those People: A Different Perspective on Diversity and Disability' from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 11 at the Seneca County Office Building at 1 DiPronio Drive in Waterloo.

Jo Fenton, training coordinator for New York State Commission on Quality of Care and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities will present the diversity training, which is geared for both service providers and businesses.

The objective of the training is to help participants better understand how perspectives of groups impact the quality and outcome of services. This unique training facilitates change and provides participants from any employment or community setting with an opportunity to be heard and better prepared to meet the needs of today's diverse population.

Cost is $35. Seating is limited.

Space will be held until Monday, March 9 without payment. A voucher or check payable to Seneca County Workforce Development guarantees registration. Request any needed accommodations as soon as possible, preferably no later than Wednesday, March 4.
