Elks present gifts to the veterans hospital

LYONS: Representatives of the Lyons Elks Lodge No. 869 recently visited the Veterans Administration Hospital in Canandaigua. During the visit, exalted ruler Gary Rogers, district veterans chairman Tom Gowan, past district deputy Mark Wunder and lodge esquire Emily Wunder presented the hospital with numerous donated items to assist the veterans. Donated items include 64 handmade lap robes, 38 hats, 34 books, 12 scarves and 85 toiletry items plus miscellaneous items. This annual presentation is one of the programs and undertakings that the Elks Lodges do throughout the year to assist area veterans.
