Walworth Library announces programs

WALWORTH: The Walworth-Seely Public Library newsletter, 'The Gateway,' that was recently mailed lists many fun things happening at the library in 2009.

Weekly programs begin Jan. 12. These programs are divided by the following age groups: Mother Goose, a program for those under the age of two with a parent or other caregiver; toddlers' program for those two- years-old and a parent or other caregiver; preschool programs for ages three through five, who are not in kindergarten.

An evening program, bedtime story time, is for the entire family. These are offered on different days and times.

All children in grades K through 5 are invited to after school programs which are scheduled on alternating Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, beginning the week Jan. 12. Activities based on different themes are planned.

If you are in grades K through 5, join the fun Sunday, Jan. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. for an un-birthday celebration, just like Alice in Wonderland.

A boys overnight for those in grades 6 to8 is scheduled for Jan. 30. Gaming day is offered following the overnight from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31. Other programs are planned for the coming months. Stay tuned.

To register for any program, call 986-1511 or e-mail lotoole@pls-net.org or stop by the library. Program information is also on the library's Web log www.walworthseely.blogspot.com.

The Walworth-Seely Public Library will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in honor of Martin L. King Jr. In questionable weather, call the library for program cancellation information.
