Tallinger appointed Director of Quality at JoAnne Tallinger, R.N., M.S.N., has been appointed Director of Quality Management for Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and DeMay Living Center (NWCH/DLC), affiliates of Rochester General Hospital/Rochester General Health System (RGHS). As the RGHS leader for Quality Management for these affiliates, she will be responsible for all efforts relating to quality including: all NYS, federal and other regulatory inspections and compliance; the implementation and maintenance of quality systems; and patient, resident, and family satisfaction. Tallinger has been with the RGHS since 1987. Previously, she was Senior Director of Community Outreach and Business Development for Independent Living for Seniors (ILS), also a RGHS affiliate. At ILS, she developed and implemented key outreach programs for the community, which serves a primarily senior population. She also served as Senior Director of Operations and Director of Quality Operations and Clinical Services for ILS. 'It is imperative that our patients and residents always receive the best care based on demonstrated clinical practices,' said Annette Leahy, President of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and DeMay Living Center and Vice President of Long Term Care, RGHS. 'Newark-Wayne was recently rated among the top hospitals in this region for its quality scores (on the government-sponsored website, 'Hospital Compare'). We are very pleased that JoAnne has joined our leadership team to maintain and advance our focus on quality to even higher scores for the Hospital and for DeMay Living Center.' Tallinger is a Registered Nurse and holds an M.S. in Health System Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in Gerontology from St John Fisher College.
