Foster Grandparent Program
seeks members

LYONS: Foster Grandparents provide individual attention and unhurried help to children who have special needs. Grandparents provide companions to children in schools, daycares and Head Start centers in Wayne, Seneca, Ontario and Yates counties.

In addition to sharing time with children, volunteers receive a tax-free stipend, flexible hours, travel reimbursement and many other benefits.

Anyone 60 years of age or older, who has a limited income and is interested in making a difference in a childs life, should call Laurie at 946-7530.

The Foster Grandparent Program is sponsored by the Wayne County Action Program, Inc. and funded by the Corporation for National Service and the New York State Office for the Aging. For more information, visit www.waynecap.org.
