Sulphur Springs Festival June 6

CLIFTON SPRINGS - Step back in time Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6, as the Village of Clifton Springs hosts its annual Sulphur Springs Festival and celebrates the 150th anniversary of the village. The festival kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday night with the Main Street Battle of the Bands and stage acts, along with food vendors on the spa lawn.

Saturday is filled with games and entertainment for the kids, live shows, horse drawn wagon rides, the famous duck derby, more than 30 food and craft vendors and a car show.

On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the main lobby of Clifton Springs Hospital, free child identification cards will be available from the Safe Kids ID booth. A drive through child safety seat inspection will be offered in the southwest hospital parking lot. Both events are sponsored by the Clifton Springs Hospital Auxiliary in cooperation with the Ontario County Sheriffs department.

The always entertaining bed/tub/toilet races start at 4 p.m.

At 6 p.m. the giant parade, featuring 11 bands and more than 1,000 performers, will wend its way through the village, followed by a concert by the parade bands. In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Auxiliary, the parade Grand Marshals will be the charter members of the Clifton Springs Hospital Auxiliary, Lois Copeland and Carol Ann Wood, who will be accompanied by many pink ladies.
