Marion Legion to host 7th District parade & convention

MARION - Downtown Marion will be the center of activities for the 7th District American Legion parade and convention June 13.

'The parade promises to be a big one,' said Mark Wyman, 7th District American Legion Commander. The Marion Minutemen Color Guard will lead the parade that will also feature members, color guards, bands, educational organizations and other units representing the eight-county District area. In addition, there will be several activities, demonstrations and displays set up in the town park, including a Chinook helicopter, Civil War reenactors and other surprise appearances.
