Women's bowling announces winners

The Wayne County Women's Bowling Association held it's annual seniors tournament in January. The following were first place winners: class AA, tie, Evelyn Rose and June Soules, 603; class A, Peg Soule, 613; class B, Joan Smith, 699; class C, Dorothy Dinehart, 588; class D, Barbara Knoll, 613; oldest participant, June Soules of Wolcott.

The bowling association held it's annual championship tournament during the month of March. The following were first place winners: team event, Vervelicious Chic's, team members Melissa Kinslow, Tracy Whitcomb, Tina Ambrose, Chrissie Kent, 2717; doubles event, Ashley Lancaster and Nicole Curry, 1375; singles event, Curry, 729; all events scratch, Kent, 2069; all events handicap, Curry, 2083; high game scratch, Kent, 269; high series scratch, Kent, 764; high game with handicap, Lancaster, 295; high series with handicap, Kent, 764.

The county association also recognized the following achievements during the regular league season: high game scratch, Karen Miller, 286; high series scratch, Lancaster, 749; high game handicap, Jean Conrow, 310; high series handicap, Tina Ambrose, 783; first high average, Miller, 190; second high average, Lancaster, 188.
