Wayne ARC elects officers

NEWARK - Wayne ARC held its annual membership and election meeting May 12 at the Quality Inn of Newark. One new board member, Scott Healy, was elected.

The following board officers were elected for the coming year: president - Bret Vanzo; first vice president - Kathleen Denniston; second vice president - Sharon Boyd; secretary - Helen Wright; treasurer - Scott Healy.

Directors elected and reinstated were: Essie Barnes, MaryJane Healy, C. Grace Kreuger, Joseph VanHaelst, Sharon Boyd and Helen Wright.

Several awards were given to individuals served by Wayne ARC to acknowledge individual success and extraordinary effort. Additionally, Crosman Corporation was given the Customer of the Year Award. Vendor of the Year was presented to Bonadio & Co. The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District was awarded the Employer of the Year Award. Good Neighbor of the Year was presented to Wegmans of Newark. Natalie Lemmon was acknowledged with the Volunteer of the Year Award. The Generosity of Spirit Award was presented to the Knit and Chat Group. The final award presented was the Employee of the Year Award, to Dave Mason, a longtime Medicaid service coordinator for the agency. For more information, call 331-7741 or visit www.waynearc.org.
