Wolcott Strawberry Festival

The 15th Annual Strawberry Festival, jointly sponsored by Huron and Wolcott Presbyterian Churches, will be held June 20 in Northrup Park, Wolcott. The festival events will run from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

There win be craft booths featuring jewelry, T-shirts, and other assorted crafts.. Keep the kids happy at the Kids Game Tent where they can win neat prizes. There will be an Antique Tractor Exhibit which will please the men and ladies can take in the Quilt Display which will be held in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church.

Try a massage from a local massage therapist.

Did we mention entertainment? A magician will be doing his tricks at 12:15 p.m. Kuk Sool Won will put on a demonstration. A variety of musical groups will keep the festival spirit going all day.. Music continues into the evening with Larry Kyle (Dam Dog) until 5:30 p.m. followed by Domicolo & Barlow performing classic rock and oldies.

The star of the show is, of course, the Strawberry. Strawberries will be available to buy by the quart. You will also be able to purchase a fresh strawberry shortcake, sundae or milkshake.

Food booths will be offering homemade breads, pies, cookies. Another booth features fried dough and coffee. Hamburgers, hots, sausage, kielbasa, nachos, salt potatoes and ice cold soda or spring water will be available throughout the day. At 3 p.m. there will be a Pulled Pork Dinner in the park. Takeouts will be available.

One of the highlights of the day is the Strawberry Festival Raffle. First prize this year is $125.00 in cash. Second prize is a Master Mechanic Cordless Drill. Third Prize is a $25.00 Walmart Gift Certificate.
