Old-fashioned strawberry social, June 27

NEWARK - Tickets are now on sale for the annual Old-fashioned strawberry social, sponsored by the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 27 at the museum at 120 High St. Society volunteers will serve homemade strawberry shortcake, complete with vanilla ice cream and whipped topping. Price is $3.50 per ticket, unchanged from last year, available from society members or at the museum

Kimberlee Meeks, of Vintage Gardens Bed & Breakfast, will prepare samples of her sweet & sassy strawberry barbecue sauce.

The museum will be open this Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.
