Workshops for job seekers

LYONS - Two workshops for area job seekers will be offered at the Lyons Public Library at 122 Broad St. in Lyons. The free workshops will be presented from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and Saturday, April 4.

Pre-registration is required. Each workshop can host a maximum of 20 attendees. A pizza lunch will be provided to participants.

Workshops will be presented by Career Development Services of Rochester, a non-profit organization that was established in 1975 and has helped thousands of area and national businesses and job seekers assess, develop and strategize for successful employment.

The March 28 workshop will provide attendees with an in-depth assessment of their strengths and will show how hose strengths can be used to build a winning resume.

The April 4 workshop will look at strategies for a successful job search and discuss the preparation for an interview and beyond.

These workshops are being supported by a grant to the Pioneer Library System from Federal Library Services and Technology funds awarded to the New York State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Preference will be given to attendees who can attend both sessions.
