RMSC science Saturday features model aviation fun ROCHESTER - Join representatives from the Rochester Aero Modeling Society at the Rochester Museum & Science Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 21 for an introduction to the fascinating world of radio-controlled model airplanes. Experience exciting demos and hands-on activities to learn about model building, flight theory, airplane design, radio control technology and more. Rochester Aero Modeling Society is a local model airplane club, chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics and dedicated to the safe pursuit and advancement of model aviation. For the past several years Rochester Aero Modeling Society has received the Academy of Model Aeronautics' annual Gold Leader Club Award in recognition of their leadership in the community and modeling. RMSC designs science Saturdays, especially for middle school, junior and senior high school students to experience science in a fun, informal setting. Programs are free with museum admission. Admission is free with museum admission, $10 adults, $9 seniors and college students with ID, $8 ages 3-18, free for children under 3 and RMSC members. Rochester Museum & Science Center receives major funding from Monroe County. RMSC includes a planetarium, nature center and science/regional history museum. The mission of the RMSC is to stimulate broad community interest and understanding of science and technology, and their impact past, present, future on our lives.
