Canaltown Chorale to perform winter concert

PALMYRA - Canaltown Chorale performs its winter concert, A Celtic Celebration, at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22 at the Palmyra First United Methodist Church located on the corners of Church and Main streets in Palmyra.

The chorale will perform traditional Scotch, Welsh, Gaelic and Irish songs. Included in the concert will be 'Old Irish Blessing,' 'Loch Lomond,' 'Annie Laurie,' 'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,' 'A Gaelic Blessing' and many more.

Several small ensemble groups will also perform. Barb VanDelinder will perform on the harp. The chorale is under the direction of Jerry Hefley. Richard Crooks will accompany on piano. Suggested donation is $5 at the door.

Concerts are made possible in part with pubic funds from the New York State Council of the Arts decentralization program, which is administered locally by Phelps Arts Center and Phelps Historical Society.
