Lighthouse Aglow hosts breakfast

NEWARK - Newark Lighthouse Aglow will host a free monthly breakfast meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28 at Cornell Cooperative Extension on the corner of Route 88 and Hydesville Road.

Guest speakers are Connie Lea and Bruce Cutler, who will give testimony. Connie Lea will also sing.

Connie Lea was born Jan. 6, 1951 in Sayre, Pa. At 5 years old, she began singing with her twin sister. Since then, she has sung in several school choirs and at family gatherings, taking voice lessons in high school and after her marriage.

After graduating from high school in 1970, she attended two different schools for the blind to help her gain the skills she needed to live on her own and to support herself.

While attending a school in Albany, she was reacquainted with a boy from elementary school. They were soon married and settled in Rochester.

It was while living in Rochester that a friend invited the couple to church, where they went forward to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives.

The Lord has since put her husband's interest in radio and Connie Lea's interest in singing together to reach out for the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no charge for the breakfast meeting. RSVP is requested by Wednesday, March 25, so food can be planned. Call Dottie at 331-0788 or Pat at 310-7030 or e-mail newarkaglow@rochester.rr.com.

Aglow is a visionary organization of Christian women, established in 174 nations on six continents, ministering to an estimated 15 million people each year through a network of local groups. Romans 12:11. Be aglow and burning with the spirit serving the Lord.
