Library's April Book and Bake Sale

WALWORTH - Friends of the Walworth-Seely Public Library will hold their bi-annual Book and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 27 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday March 28 at the first floor meeting room in the Walworth Town Hall at 3600 Lorraine Drive.

Saturday books will be sold for $2 per bag.

This sale will also include a silent auction that will include books signed by a local author.

Help is needed to set up and take down tables and books, work at the sale and donate baked goods. Signup sheets are at the circulation desk.

Donations of gently used books, videos, CDs, cassettes, audio tapes and video games will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 in the meeting room at the Walworth Town Hall.

The value of donated materials is not assessed nor is quantity counted.

Available will be a large selection of paperbacks, fiction, mystery, children's and several other genres of books, plus audio cassettes, DVDs, CDs, videos and other types of media, all at reasonable prices. The Friends organization is active throughout the Walworth community.

Goals for 2009 include promoting the library by increasing membership in the Friends organization and promoting community activities.

Membership forms will be available at the book sale. Annual dues are $5 for a single membership, $35 for a business membership.

Friends meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month in the meeting room at the library. To help the Friends organization, it is not necessary to attend each meeting. For more information, e-mail friendlb@verizon.net.
