Arts festival begins today

PALMYRA - East Palmyra Christian School celebrates fine arts during their 14th annual Young Artists Festival beginning March 30.

The week includes special art activities, including an art show of students work and an afternoon of workshops giving instruction in everything from cookie making and poetry to clay modeling and archery.

The community is invited to view the artwork and hear an evening concert on Friday, April 3 at 7:15 p.m. in the school gym at 2023 East Palmyra-Port Gibson Road. Students will be performing vocal and instrumental solos and duets, dances and a puppet show. The school flute choir and brass quintet will be showcased as well. Refreshments will be served and a free will offering will be taken to support the music and art programs.
