Master Gardener plant sale

NEWARK - The 20th annual Wayne County Master Gardener Plant Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9 at Wayne County Cornell Cooperative Extension office at 1581 Route 88 in Newark. Gardeners have planted spring potting perennials and seeds.

Lots of flowering plants, striking foliage and tasty herbs will be available. A variety of tomato plants, from small ones suitable for container growing to heirlooms that should produce some whoppers, will be for sale.

The sale usually sells out completely, so come early and take advantage of the large variety and good prices.

The 4-H Teen Exchange will provide pancake breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Pre-sale tickets are $4 for adults; $3 for children. Prices at the door prices are $5 for adults and $4 for children; under 5 eat free. For more information, call 331-8415.
