Trail Works events

Trail Works of Wayne County is participating in the following upcoming events:

Second annual Sole Power Event: 'The Hunt for the Golden Shoe' - Residents can search for shoes painted gold in Walworth, Williamson, Palmyra, Clyde, Sodus/Wallington and Newark parks between May 22 and 31 and bring them to Cornell Cooperative Extension in Newark Saturday, June 6. Event information is in the shoes.

Trail Works has scheduled presentations at local libraries in May and June about the volunteer organization, which started in 1997. Presentations will be held on the following dates:

• 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13: Red Creek Free Library.
• 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 20: Marion Public Library.
• 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27: Rose Free Library.
• 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 3: Lyons Public Library.

Additional presentations are planned throughout Wayne County. The schedule is available at www.Trailworks.org.
