Lyons Library hosts upcoming events

LYONS - The Friends of the Lyons Public Library, in conjunction with the library, will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 30 at the library. The sale will be held in the Community Room and, weather permitting, outside.

All types of household items will be sold. Donations of the following items will be accepted: jewelry, dishes, toys, pots and pans, purses, wallets, shoes, belts, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and decorative items, such as small statues and paintings. Large appliances, exercise equipment, furniture, clothing, computers or televisions will not be accepted.

Items may be dropped off at the library now.

Cash or check will be accepted; the Friends group is unable to accept debit or charge cards. Proceeds from the sale will go toward landscaping for the library.
