As part of the program, participants will watch videos, assist with food preparation and eat the dishes prepared in class. They will also receive a copy of 'The Cancer Survivor's Guide' with more than 130 delicious, easy-to-prepare recipes. Topics covered include: fueling up on low-fat foods, favoring fiber, discovering dairy alternatives, replacing meat, cancer-fighting compounds, immune-boosting foods, maintaining a healthy weight, foods and breast cancer survival and foods and prostate cancer survival. The links between diet and cancer are nothing short of dramatic, and now participants can learn how certain dietary patterns help people diagnosed with cancer live longer, healthier lives. Empowering information will be available on simple, everyday choices that can improve health and well-being. Classes will be held in two locations.
