Montezuma Audubon Center announces fall programs

SAVANNAH - Montezuma Audubon Center at 2295 State Route 89, two miles north of the intersection of Route 31 and Route 89 in Savannah, announced the following fall programs at the center:

Wednesday naturalists: Autumn nature walk Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Join Naturalist Dave Spier for a serendipitous nature walk for stay-at-home moms/dads, retirees and people with flexible schedules. Feel free to bring a camera. Pre-registration requested. Fee is $5 per adult; $3 per child. To register, call 365-3588 or e-mail cstokes-cawley@audubon.org.

Night hike and campfire: Whooooo is out and about at night around the Montezuma Audubon Center Friday, Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Join Audubon staff for a pre-Halloween adventure. Explore the center's trails at night. Learn to strengthen night vision, hoot for owls, hunt like bats and much more. Evening concludes with a campfire complete with s'mores. Fee is $5 per adult; $3 per child; $15 per family. To pre-register, call 365-3588 or e-mail cstokes-cawley@audubon.org.
