Street closings for holiday parade LYONS - In conjunction with Peppermint Winter Wonderland, the Lyons Main Street Program requests that some streets be closed in the early evening Dec. 5 for the first Holiday Lights Parade. The streets the program requests be closed are Broad Street from William Street to Church Street, Church Street from Broad Street to William Street and William Street from Church Street to Broad Street. The parade will line up on Broad Street between William Street and Queen Street and head south on Broad Street to a left turn onto Church Street It will then head east on Church Street to another left onto William Street and north past the elementary school. Along with Santa, the parade will feature anything and everything that can be rolled, walked, pushed, dragged, carried or driven that is covered by lights to brighten up the holiday season, along with various businesses, groups or organizations that would like to carol, provide music or enter a car, truck or 4-wheel vehicle.
