Flu clinics scheduled

LYONS - Wayne County Public Health, in collaboration with the Area Agency on Aging, has scheduled seasonal flu clinics for adults aged 18 and over only.

If adults can receive flu vaccine at a doctor's office, do so.

For children, contact their pediatrician's office.

Bring insurance cards to the clinic. If a participant has no insurance, a sliding fee scale will be used, when paying. Pneumonia vaccine will be available to those who qualify.

The following clinics are scheduled:

  • Monday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake at 5823 Walworth Road in Ontario.
  • Thursday, Oct. 8, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at St. John's Church at Dezeng Street in Clyde.
  • Friday, Oct. 9, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Gananda High School at 3195 Wiedrick Road in Walworth.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Catholic Church activity building at 105 W. Main St., Sodus
  • Thursday, Oct. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Faith Methodist Church at 12223 Oswego St. in Wolcott.
  • Monday, Oct. 19, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion at 200 E. Union St. in Newark.
  • Monday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center at 4 Manhattan St. in Lyons.
  • Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Red Creek Health Fair at Red Creek High School at South Street Road in Red Creek
