Overacre, Thelma - Thelma Overacre, 76, of Ladue Avenue, Clifton Springs died September 28, 2005 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Her loving family was by her side. Thelma was born June 22, 1929 in Canandaigua and was the daughter of the late William and Florence Potter. She had lived in the area all her life and retired from Mobil Chemical in Bushnell's Basin. Thelma was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved history, especially about World War II. She was a family woman, devoting her time raising her family with love. She was happiest spending time with her-children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Thelma will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. Arrangement entrusted to R. A. Patrick Funeral Home, 26 W. Main St. Clifton Springs. Funeral services are this morning at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Pioneer Cemetery. Friends may contribute to Clifton Springs Fire Department. She is survived by her children, Bradley G. Overacre of Lyons and Michelle (Donald) Overacre-Post, Deborah Taylor and Suzanne Giordano, all of Clifton Springs; grandchildren, a great-grandson; sister, Florence Miles of Shortsville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Overacre; brothers, George and Kenneth Potter; and sister, Virginia Wiley.

Hubbard, Terrance E. - Terrance E. 'Terry' Hubbard, 51, of Sodus/Washington, D.C., died suddenly on September 10, 2005. Terry served 12 years in the U.S. Navy. He is predeceased by his grandfather and grandmother, Fred and Marge Hubbard, and grandfather, Ralph Rawden. Terry is survived by his parents, Beverly and Edwin Hubbard; sister, Debra Cudney and Penny (Steve) Billington; brother, Barry (Laurie) Hubbard; grandmother, Edith Rawden; aunts, uncles, niece, and nephews. Redmond, Bernice - Bernice Redmond, 83, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic. Bernice is survived by nieces, Shirley Wright, Joanne Blank, Patricia Donahue, Dorothy Lanigan; nephew, Thomas Brown; several great-nieces and nephews; many friends and caretakers from Finger Lakes DDSO and special friends, Hazel and BJ. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ida Edmiston Redmond; sisters, Anna Faugh & Agnes Brown Stanton; brother, Ralph Redmond and niece, Violet (Peggy) Moss. Boerman, Mabel - Mabel Boerman, 94, of Newark, died Sept., 30, 2005. Fox, Marian - Marian Fox, 89, of Sodus, died September 28, 2005. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles E. Fox and son, William H. Fox. Marian is survived by her children, James (Linda) Fox of Richmond, VA and Susanne Fox of Sodus; grandchildren, Carolyn (Dave) Gutzmer, William G. (Abbey) Fox, Jana Fox, Christie Fox, James C. DesCamp, Ruth J. - Mrs. Ruth J. DesCamp, 88, formerly of 647 S. Marbletown Road, died Wednesday (Sept. 21, 2005) at the Ontario County Health Facility. Friends called at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main St., Phelps. Burial in Newark Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Church, 12 Hubbard Ave., Clifton Springs, NY 14432, or to the Alzheimer's Association. Mrs. DesCamp was born March 13, 1917 in Brighton, the daughter of the late Albert and Ruth Adams. She was a member and daily communicant of St. Francis Church and truly loved the friendship of the people. She attended daily Mass along with a host of other friends. She also enjoyed writing poetry. She worked for the Phelps Central School in the cafeteria for many years and drove a bus for 10 years for the Phelps-Clifton Springs School District. She is survived by her children, Carol (Richard) Guilliams of Phelps, and Brian (Karen) DesCamp of Phelps; grandchildren, Daniel Guilliams of Oswego, Thomas Guilliams of San Diego, Dana (Tauber) Emmings of East Rochester, Lisa Guilliams of Phelps, Staff Sgt. Flack, Joseph Andrew - Joseph Andrew Flack, 63, of E. Miller St., Newark, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Joe was born in Geneva April 17, 1942, son of James and Jean Brown Flack. He served in the Army from 1964 to 1966 and was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of Newark VFW Post 2883. Predeceased by his wife, Linda Barton Flack in January, 2003 and his father, James Flack. Survived by his daughter, Heidi Flack of East Rochester; 2 loving grandchildren, Nikki & Joey Temple; his mother, Jean Flack; sisters, Janice (Herman) Bornheimer, Judy (Tony) Gullo of Newark; brother, Jerald (Priscilla) Flack of Marion; sister-in-law, Deni Krantz of Buffalo. Brockhuizen, Edward - Edward T. Brockhuizen, 72, of Newark, died at his home with his family on Friday, September 23, 2005. Mr. Brockhuizen was born in East Palmyra on August 4,1933, the son of Herman and Adriana Robbe Brockhuizen. He retired from the State of New York as a Building Inspector in 1988. Carpentry projects took up much of Ed's spare time, however the Newark Elks Lodge was another place to call home. As a trustee for many years 'Brock' proved that he embodied all that a cherished and giving Elk can be, by being named 'Elk of the year' for 2004-2005. Ed was predeceased by his wife Patricia in 1996 and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his two daughters Vicki (Bill) Stramonine of Newark, Gina (Michael) Salisbury of Fairport, three sons, Steven (Liliane) of Fredericksburg VA, Edward II (Melanie) of Newark, Todd (Lisa) of Macedon, eleven grandchildren Megan, Justin, Elliott, Jenna, Kaitlyn, Edward III, Todd II, Felicity, Alexandra, Rachel, and Zachary, two great grandchildren Cheyenne and Gage, a brother Robert (Deanna) of Newark, two sisters Cora (Ken) Graham of Port Gibson and Minnie VanKouwenberg of Palmyra NJ, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Burm, Mary - Mary A. Burm, 68, of High Street, Newark, died Friday, September 23, 2005, at her home with family by her side. Friends called at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services were Tuesday (Sept. 27) at St. Michael's Church with Father Peter Clifford officiating. Memorials in her name may be made to St. Michael's School, 400 S. Main St. Newark, NY 14513. Mrs. Burm was born in Clifton Springs on September 26,1936, the daughter of Joseph and Lucy Scherbyn Mattoon. She retired from Dr. Maressa's Office in 1999 after 30 years of being a receptionist. Mary worked at St. Michael's Church part-time for 15 years. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and a Communicant of St. Michael's Church. Mary is survived by her daughter Vicki Denisi of Newark, four sons Thomas of Newark, Michael (Theresa) of Lakeworth FL, Patrick of Newark and Stephen of Manhattan; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Schmidt, Josh, Matt and Patti Burm, three great-grandchildren, a sister Theresa Lyle Baker of Clifton Springs and two sister-in-laws. Mary was predeceased by her son Peter in 1991 and three brothers Joseph, William, and Charles Mattoon.

Andrzejewski, Stanley - Stanley E. Andrzejewski, 58, of Newark, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at his home. Stanley was born Sept. 20, 1946. He was a retired auto mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars and was an excellent fisherman. He also loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his three children, Tracy Hockenbruckner of Lyons, Terry Hulsizer of Newark and Joseph (Treva) Andrzejewski of Horseheads; seven grandchildren, Michael Jr., Brea and Matthew Hockenbruckner, William Elliott, Joseph Hulsizer Jr., Charisma and Haley Andrzejewski; two nephews, John and Scott Andrzejewski; and three cousins. A Memorial service will be held by the family at their convenience.

Langdon, Frederick - Frederick Carlos Langdon, 52, of Water Street, Lyons, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at Clifton Springs Nursing Home. Fred was born April 9, 1953, in Fort Pierce, FL, son of Terrence and Annie Lauria Robinson Langdon. He moved to Phelps at an early age and lived in Geneva and Lyons for many years. He is survived by his constant companion, Becky Petty; stepfather, Eddie Murphy of Lyons; sister, Estella Chance of Lyons; four aunts, Lillie Bell Matthis of Alton, Estella Sutton, Earline Battle and Ernestine Murphy of Newark; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends called at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St. in Lyons, where services were held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Phelps.

Ikewood, John - John W. Ikewood, 78, of Ontario, entered into rest on Sept. 23, 2005. Predeceased by his parents, John & Norma Ikewood, & brother Roy Ikewood. Survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 59 years, Rosemarie (Fraser) IIkewood; loving children, Sherry (Jay) Peters of Williamson, Jackie Lynott of Rochester, Thomas (Cindy) Ikewood of Marion, Dean (Sue) Ikewood of New Hampshire; 9 special grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. Greule, Donald - Donald Frederick Greule, 91, of Newark died September 22, 2005 at Newark Hospital. Greule was born the son of the late Frederick and Mary Jane Clark Greule on January 31, 1914 in Newark. He was a 1933 graduate of Newark High School. He retired from Garlock in Palmyra in 1976 where he worked as an inspector. Mr. Greule was a charter member of the Newark-Arcadia Volunteer Ambulance, member of the Newark Masonic Lodge No. 83, Past Master and past Secretary of the Masonic Bowling League. He was a member of the Newark VFW Post 2883. He is survived by his daughters Joan and Jane Greule both of Newark; grandchildren Donald E. (Yvonne) Greule of Willard and Bethann (Frank) Selice of Rochester; great grandchildren Kristopher, Katelin and Donald R.; daughter-in-law Kathleen Greule of Willard; sisters-in-law Leah Young of Lyons and Myrtle Tierson of Fl.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Greule was predeceased by his loving wife Florence in 1998; son Donald R. in 1992 and brothers Orville and Richard. Arrangements by Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. McDermott, Grace - Grace H. Walsh McDermott, formerly of Rochester and Newark, died September 16, 2005 in Lebanon, New Hampshire after a long illness. She was born on May 2, 1911 in Westfield, NJ to James Matear Hadden and Caroline Bauer Hadden. The family later moved to Rochester. She worked for many years at the Rochester Telephone Company and later at the Monroe County Family Court. In 1940 she was married to Franklin D. Walsh, who died in 1949. Their son, Franklin J. Walsh, died in 1982. Surviving children are Michael D. Walsh of Orlando, Florida and Mary A. Hardy of Lebanon, New Hampshire. Her sister, Helen I. Haupenthal, her brother, John B. Hadden, and his daughter, Joan P. Hadden Neary, predeceased her. In 1954 she married James E. McDermott, who died in 1971. She is survived by her children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two nieces, and her sister-in-law. There will be a graveside service Tuesday, September 27 at 11 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester. Mullins, Bessie - Bessie Keefe Mullins, 88, of Sodus, died September 18, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1962 and her son, Bruce in 2004. She is survived by her devoted and loving family; daughter, Bette Kennedy of Sodus; son, Robert (Linda) Mullins of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Sean Kennedy, Jason (Karren) Kennedy, Suzanne (Bruce) Collier, Sara Kennedy, John (Lisa) Kennedy, William and Andrew Mullins; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Charlene Mullins; nieces and nephews; and special friends. Scherbyn, Mildred - Mildred M. Scherbyn, 85, of County Road 6, Phelps, died Sept. 25, 2005 at Newark Manor. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 27) at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main St. in Phelps. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 28) in St. Francis Catholic Church in Phelps. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Mildred was born Dec. 9, 1919, in Sodus, daughter of the late Louis and Jennie DeCook VanParys. Mildred lived in Newark until 1938, at which time she married Francis Scherbyn and moved to Phelps. She was Food Service Supervisor for 11 years at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic and went on to be the patient register secretary for 10 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Francis Church. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marcia Adams Scherbyn of Phelps; granddaughter, Sharon Scherbyn of Phelps; grandson, David (Carole.) Scherbyn of Phelps; daughter-in-law, Ilene Scherbyn of Canandaigua; grandchildren, Kevin (Sheri) Scherbyn of Phelps; Kristine (Peter) Taylor of Clifton Springs, Keith, (Becky) Scherbyn of Canandaigua, Kathryn (Richard), Coffey Jr. of Clifton Springs; 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in October 1977 by her husband, Francis, and by her son Robert, who died in September 1995, and Paul, who died in May 2004. Bullock, James - James F. Bullock, 77, of Sodus, died September 22, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Polly; children - Anne (Will) Volcano, Michael (Mary) Bullock, Christopher (Pamela) Bullock, B.J. (Mark) AuClair, Amy Bullock and Susan Bullock; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, John (Dorothy) Bullock; nieces and nephews and cousins was predeceased by his sister Jean Thompson. Satta, John - John Joseph Satta, 87, died September 22, 2005. He was born January 8, 1918 in Herkimer, son of Giovanni and Serafina Satta. He was raised in Newark. He worked at Luxaire in Elyria, Ohio; during World War II he worked in a defense plant. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle, by his parents, and sisters Francesca and Rafaela. He is survived by brothers Louis, Frank and Paul, and sisters Vera Atwell, Mary Satta, Edith Birch and Anita Bessette; survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 23 from 2 to 4 at Profetta Funeral Chapel, Empire Boulevard in Webster. Funeral will be Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Cemetery in Palmyra.

Gillette, Anna - Anna Louise (Prober, Barber, Devlin) Gillette, 90, of the DeMay Living Center in Newark, formerly of Rose, died September 22, 2005. Friends may call Saturday (Sept. 24) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., in North Rose. A service will be held Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Rose Baptist Church. Memorials may be directed to the Rose Baptist Church; interment will be in the Rose Cemetery. Louise was born in the Town of Rose on December 11, 1914, a daughter to Arthur and Lena Woodard Converse. She was employed for many years by General Electric in Auburn, and was a life time member of the Rose Baptist Church and the Rose Grange. Surviving are three daughters, Rose Marie Prober, Thelma Gillette, and Dorothy Barber; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Florence Irene Seid; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased in 1972 by her husband Carlton, also by her granddaughter, Dawn Brooklier, sister Carolyn Frasier, and brother Seth Converse.

Wahl, Pearl - Pearl E. Wahl, 89, of Sodus, died Sept. 18, 2005. Pearl was predeceased by her husband, Clifford; son, Gerald; and daughter-in-law, Cindy. She is survived by daughter, Carol (Donald) Datthyn of Sodus; grandchildren, Donna (Robert) Gobeyn of Marion, Steven (Karren) Datthyn and Christopher (Lisa) Datthyn, all of Sodus; Judith (Eric) Dean of Williamson; and Clifford Wahl of Lakeland, FL; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Van Develde, Mae - Mary (Mae) Van Develde, a long-time Sodus resident, died at age 80. Mae was the wife of the late Robert Van Develde, Sr. She is survived by ; Mary Anne and David Van Develde-Kasperek an their son, Max, of Pittsburgh; Robert and Joanna Van Develde, of Toronto; Jim and Pattie Van Develde and their children, Kelly, Kevin, and Kathryn, of Putnam Valley; Jack and Leigh Ann and their children Robby and Victoria, of Greenville, South Carolina. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Irma Hayes and Susan Burkhalter; brothers-in-law, Robert Becker, Richard Gorman and Philip Van Develde nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mae was active in many roles in the Church of Epiphany including the Martha Ministry and the Church Council. She worked for more than 20 years with the Wayne County ARC and was the senior counselor at the Sodus Adult Residence. A funeral mass will be Saturday, October 1 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Epiphany, 105 W. Main St., Sodus, with a burial service for Mae and Bob following at Sodus Rural Cemetery. Robyn, Alice - Alice Coyle Robyn, 87, died September 16, 2005 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia. Friends called at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, Newark. Funeral services were held at Woodlane Community Church with the Rev. Bill Crowder officiating. Interment is in Newark Cemetery. Alice was born in Newark on April 28, 1918, the daughter of Cornelius and Louise Retzlof Libbert. She retired from the Newark Developmental Center where she had worked in the food service. Alice was a volunteer with RSVP She was a member of the Kings Daughters, Esther Circle and the Woodlane Community Church. Fitch, Nellie - Nellie Elizabeth Fitch, 93, of Washington St., Newark, died September 18, 2005 at the Wayne County Nursing Home, with her loving children by her side. She was born October 31, 1911 in Phelps, daughter of Charles and Bessie Gleason Case. She attended Phelps Schools and had retired from Garlock Corp. in Palmyra, where she worked in shipping. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Arcadia Senior Citizens and the Sunshine Club at Garlock, for which she served as President for several years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. Mrs. Fitch will be remembered by her son, Norman (Connie) Fitch of Newark; daughters Sharon (Lawrence) Allen of Victor and Phyllis Harder of Newark; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; brothers Leon (Beverly) Case of Newark, Robert (Eleanor) Case of Palmyra and Donald (Marcie) Case of Oswego; sister Edith Ryan of Newark; many nieces and nephews. Brickle, Nancy - Nancy Joyce LeRoy Brickle, of Phelps, died Sept. 13, 2005, at home, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. Nancy was born Sept. 11, 1941, in Lyons, daughter of the late Grace and Donald LeRoy. Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Newark High School. She was a secretary at Sarah Coventry and also worked in the office of Spinco Metal Products for over 20 years. Nancy enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her hospitality and placing others before herself. She is survived by her husband, Edward Brickle; sons, Jeffrey (Katherine) and Thomas (Brenda); daughter, Amy (Chad) Goulette; brother, David (Linda) LeRoy; sister, Beth (John) Bitonti; nine grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Eacher Funeral Home, 47 Main St. in Phelps. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the funeral home. Dennis, Tina - Zelphia 'Tina' O. Dennis, 54, of Clyde, died Sept. 14, 2005. Tina was born Nov. 12, 1950 in Ithaca, daughter of Robert and Frances Meddaugh Schwartz. Kaller, Philip F. - Philip F. Kaller, 68, of Catherine St. in Lyons, died Monday (Sept. 12, 2005) at home after a long illness. Rogers, Darlene 'Dee' - Darlene 'Dee' Rogers, of Route 96A in Geneva, passed away unexpectedly Saturday (Sept. 10, 2005) at the Geneva General Hospital. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be 7 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 15) at the Patrick Funeral Home, 26 W. Main St. in Clifton Springs, with the Rev. Lynn Spence officiating. Friends may make contributions to the family at 3917 State Route 96A, Lot G, Geneva 14456, in Dee's memory. Dee was born on Nov. 23, 1949 in Clifton Springs. She was an activities assistant at Clifton Springs Hospital and a member of the Newark JCC. Dee loved to cook and garden, and she was quite an artist, painting pictures for friends and family. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all of her loving friends and family. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill of Geneva; children, Amy (Andrew) Pieters of Newark, Kim (Doug) Groover of Newark, Kari Sergent of West Palm Beach, Fla., Erin (Brice) Fisher of Newark and Kristi Emmerich of Seneca Falls; parents, Pearl (Thomas) Wiley of Clifton Springs; very special niece and nephew, Teresa Hironomus and Joshua Saunders; nine grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Wiltsie, Sheldon L. Jr. - Mr. Sheldon L. Wiltsie Jr., 71, of Columbia St., Clyde, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Wiltsie was born Dec. 29, 1933 in Clyde, the son of the late Sheldon L. and Laura Brown Wiltsie Sr. He was a graduate of Clyde High School and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He had retired from the Xerox Corporation, where he was employed for over 29 years. Sheldon was a lifetime resident of Clyde and loved, playing softball in his younger years. He also was an avid pool player and had taught many older children the game of billiards. He was loved by everyone he came into contact with. He was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Wiltsie, who died May 28, 1979; and his brother, Robert Wiltsie who died in 1991. He is survived by his wife, Marcela Wiltsie of Clyde, whom he married in 1979; three sons, John Wiltsie, Roger Wiltsie and Jeff (Susan Wagoner) Wiltsie all of Clyde; three daughters; Pat Washburn, Brenda DeLisio and Kathy (Jeff) Cinquegrana, all of Clyde; his brothers, Giles Wiltsie of Wolcott and Donald (Linda) Wiltsie of Newark; his sisters, Geraldine Norton of Lyons, Doris DiSanto of Clyde, Barbara (Vic) Calviera of S.C. and Beverly Sozio of Newark; 11 grandchildren, Mike, Josh, Jeremy,Christopher, Ashley, Jessica, Megan, Chelsea, Nick, Nate and Matt; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bankert, Paul - Paul Bankert, 72, of Melvin Hill Road, Phelps, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at his home. Paul was, born Sept. 26, 1932 in Clifton Springs, the son of the late Prosper and Flora Bankert, and lived on Melvin Hill Road all of his life. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Paul worked for GW Lisk in Clifton Springs and was a member of St. Francis Church in Phelps. He enjoyed flowers, antiques and gardening. Paul was a good-hearted man with compassion who always put his family before anything. He will be sadly missed by all of his loving friends and family. He is survived by, his brothers, Thomas (Betty) Bankert of Phelps, George (Margaret) Bankert of Gorham, Robert (Sandra) Bankert of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning at at St. Francis Church in Phelps. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Phelps with military honors. Evarts, Michael Evarts - Michael J. Evarts, 63, of Marion, died September 7, 2005. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Rochester. Spiros owned and operated the Astoria Restaurant in Phelps for 25 years and he loved Horse Racing. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Ermioni 'Addle' Lolis of Phelps; son Panagiotis 'Pete' (Shelley) Lolis of Phelps; daughter, Vasiliki 'Vicky' Lolls of Phelps; 1 brother and 4 sisters living in Greece; several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Oakleaf, Dorothy - Dorothy E. Oakleaf, 98, formerly of Lyons, died Aug. 30, 2005, at Clifton Springs Hospital. Dorothy was born November 11, 1906, in Lyons, daughter of August and Johanna Schading Gutschow. She worked in a test kitchen at the former National Biscuit Co. in Lyons and was a clerical worker for Hickok Manufacture in Lyons. She was a clerk at the former Sibley's store in Newark. She was an active member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, where she served on the church board. She was a 65-year member of Humanity Chapter 466 Order of the Eastern Star and past president of Wayne County Past Matrons Association. She had been a resident of the Wayne County Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer (Honey) in 1975; daughter, Joan Monroe in 1993; great-granddaughter, Jennifer Assessor, in 1985; and brothers, Harry and Frank Gutshow. She is survived by her son, Duane (Lorraine) of Florida; sister, Margaret Higgins of Lyons; seven grandchildren, James (Lucy) Oakleaf, Linda (Gerald) Assessor, Todd, Mark and Tim Monroe; Kathryn Oakleaf and Kyle (Ann) Spencer; 10 great-grandchildren; Lorraine Wagner; and nieces and nephews. Palmer, Robert - Robert D. Palmer, 87, formerly of Newark, died August 27, 2005 in Bradenton, Florida. Services are Saturday, September 3, at the Reed Corners Federated Church, Route 247, Canandaigua. Born in New York City, Palmer studied Fine and Applied Art at the Art center in Los Angeles, California, and R.I.T. in Rochester. He served in WWII as a 1st Lt. in the Army Air Corps as a fighter pilot. In retirement, Bob enjoyed sailing, western square dancing, painting, and many forms of arts and crafts. He lived on West Miller Street, Newark and was employed by the Stuart Companies as a commercial artist. He was preceded in death by his parents Ferris and Geneva Palmer, his first wife Shirley (Reed), and son Stephen. Survivors include his wife, Doris, daughter Pamela (Harry) Strong of Mentor, Ohio, sons, James (Alice) Palmer of Canandaigua, and Robert Jr. (Sheryl) Palmer of Shortsville; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the American Heart Association.

Langworthy, Katherine - Katherine P. Langworthy, 72, of Camillus died August 30, 2005 in Minoa. Katherine was born in Williamson, daughter of Philip and Lucille Ryckman Van Boxlaere. She retired in 1992 from IEC Electronics in Newark after 18 years and was a former member of Brandon Elks Lodge. She was a crafty person and really enjoyed ceramics and painting. She was predeceased in 1996 by her husband, Earl Langworthy; and by two sons-in-law, Don DeWandel and Bruce Barkley, both in 2005. She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Barkley of Camillus and Linda DeWandel of Newark; two sons, Lawrence 'Larry' (Bonnie) Langworthy of Cloverdale, IN and Leonard Langworthy of Shelby, NC; one sister, Dawn (Don) Withey of Phelps; two brothers, David Van Boxlaere of Watertown, MA, and Philip (Katie) Van Boxlaere of Clifton Springs; sister-in-law, Norma Langworthy of Brandon, FL; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Klemann, David C. - David C. Klemann, of Cromwell, CT, formerly of Palmyra, died unexpectedly at the age of 29 on August 24, 2005. Shulla, Terry John, Sr. - Terry John Shulla, Sr. of Olympia, Washington died August 16, 2005, in his 45th year. Predeceased by his father, Francis Shulla, Sr. and his sister, Pamela Gartman. He is survived by his loving family: wife, Lisa Burns Shulla; Sons: Terry (Sheena) Shulla, Michael Borgus, Philip Borgus, Kaleb Shulla; Daughters: Kimberly Shulla and Kourteney Shulla; Mother, Christina Shulla; Brothers: Daniel (Barbara) Shulla, Francis, Jr. (Tana) Shulla, Mark (Bonnie) Shulla and Robert (Tandra) Olmstead and Sister, Janice James; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Terry graduated from Newark High School in 1977. He was retired from the Navy and worked for the government at St. Lewis Army Base in Olympia as a mechanic in the Stryker Unit. Walsh, John - John J. Walsh, age 48, of Sodus, died on August 23, 2005 in the Rochester General Hospital. He was predeceased by his father, James Walsh and brother, Patrick Walsh. Orbaker, Elsie Mae - Elsie Mae Orbaker, 90, of Newark, died Monday, August 22, 2005 at DeMay Living Center. VanHooft, Bernice E. - Bernice E. VanHooft, 74, of South Main Street in Newark, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at the DeMay Living Center in Newark. Bernice was born August 23, 1930, in Casa, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James and Lennie Opal George. She was a member of the Church of Christ and spent her life worshipping the Lord. Bernice was a senior companion for the Fingerlakes DDSO. She was a devoted caregiver. She loved to sew and do arts and crafts. She will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. She is survived by her son, James VanHooft of Lyons; daughters, Renee (Howard) DeRue of Newark and Sheree (Dannel) Lawrence of Newark; sisters, Wanda Cline of Ruskin, FL, and Della Jones of Oakridge, OR; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She had worked for Garlock Corp. in Palmyra in Document Control. Nancy was a member of the Red Hat Society. She worked many hours as a volunteer for the Cancer Society and was involved with fund raising through Stepping in Style and Relay for Life. Nancy enjoyed camping and reading. Nancy will be remembered by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Gilbert Ellis; daughters Susan (Kevin) Sharp and Wendy (Jim) Colacino both of Newark; four grandchildren Brittney, Sarah, Joe and Bryan; mother Myrtle Fagner of Newark; brother David (Donna) Fagner of Newark; sister Julie (Daryl) Beech of SC; father- and mother-in-law Gilbert and Elaine Ellis; brothers- and sisters-in-law Ricky (Kathy), Michael (Betty) Ellis, Christine (Gary) Weed and Roxanne (Ralph) Button; many nieces and nephews. Kennedy, Priscilla - Priscilla 'Pris' Kennedy, 48, of Phelps, formerly of Brighton, died August 17, 2005. She was born November 20, 1956 in Syracuse, daughter of the late Louis and Marion Harper Chesley. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Pittsford. Kennedy was a legal secretary for various law firms in Rochester and Canandaigua, and an executive administrator for Sybron Corporate and the Gannett Foundation. She volunteered at Phelps Memorial Library and was devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband, Scott W. Kennedy; son, Christopher and fiancee Amanda Owens; granddaughter, Grace B. Kennedy; sister Ellen (Spencer Weig; in-laws, nieces and nephews. A service will be held August 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 36 South Main St., Pittsford; interment will be in Mt. Eaton, Pearl - Pearl H. (Flowers) Eaton of Marion died peacefully at Clifton Springs Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Pearl was active in her community, serving on the PTA, a Girl Scout leader, and teaching Religious Education to handicapped adults. At her request, calling hours will be observed and the courtesy of no flowers. Prong, Charles Elmer - Charles Elmer Prong, 93, of East Rochester, died Sunday, Aug. 14 2005, in Clifton Springs Hospital, after a brief illness. Charles was born January 6, 1912, and was a loving husband to Helen Moyer Prong for 64 years. He was also a devoted companion for eight years to Joyce Plantz after the death of his wife. He will be remembered in the community for his many years of friendly and courteous service, as a milkman for Linden Dairy, Community Dairy and Sealtest Dairy. After retiring, he began his second career as custodian, at Barker Road Elementary School and as head custodian at the Park Road Elementary School of the Pittsford School District. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Rochester and enjoyed playing euchre at the East Rochester Senior Citizens Center. His bright smile and friendliness will be missed by all. He was predeceased by his son, Donald in 1953; and two sisters, Ruth Stanton and Doris Karter. He is survived by sons, Charles W. (Alice) of East Rochester, Robert A. (Johanna) of Clifton Springs, and the Rev. Lee E. (Demaris) of Newark; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Charles J., David W. (Laura), Heidi M. (Jeff) Kinnally, Susanna (Jon) Eygabroat, Robert W. (Jennifer), John K. (Erin), Eric D. (Kerri), Rachel A. (Jonathan) Dorr and Daniel E. Prong; four great-grandchildren, who brought a smile to his face, Christine Finlayson, Michelle and Brett Prong, and Zachary Kinnally; sister and brother-in-law, Marion (Douglas) Sehoen of Beverly Hills, FL. Goodman, Richard - Richard W. Goodman II, 61, of Broomfield, Colorado, died May 25, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, daughter, Jessica, son, Richard, brothers Peter and Douglas, family, and many dear friends. Rick was born in Newark, the eldest son of the late Richard and Doris Goodman. The family lived at 201 Burnham Street. In high school, Rick participated in swimming under Coach Warren Neely and football under Coach Floyd Greene. During his school years, he became interested in civil engineering, working for the local firm of Harnish & Lookup. He attended the University of Wyoming, and served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the Combat Engineers. A memorial service was held at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church in Boulder. Cook, George A. - George A. Cook, 88, of Minsteed Road, Newark, died Aug. 12, 2005 at the DeMay Living Center. Friends called Monday at the Paul L. Murphy Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. He was overseas for 17 months in France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as a radio operator, transmitting and receiving Morse Code. He was also with the American Red Cross Ski Patrol. He had worked at Bloomer Brothers and retired from the Newark Developmental Center. A 55-year member of the Park Presbyterian Church, he was also a member of the Newark Elks and the American Legion August Mauer Post 286, and Veteran of Foreign Wars Arcadia Memorial Post 2883. He is survived by his son, Bruce Cook of Rochester. He was predeceased by his wife, Mabel in 2001; a son, William in 1994; a sister, Carol; and brother, Walter.

Kotvis, James 'Jake' - James 'Jake' Kotvis, 89, formerly of East Union St., Newark and Fairville, died Friday, August 5, 2005, at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Jake was born June 4, 1916 in Sodus, son of Henry and Nellie DeRidder Kotvis. He was a rural letter carrier out of the Newark Post Office for 34 years, retiring in 1982. He lived in Fairville most of his life, where he farmed and also ran Fairville garage. He was a member of the Fairville Fire Department. He was predeceased by his wife, Verna in April of 2002; five sisters; and a brother. He is survived by his brother, Henry of Wolcott and several nieces and nephews. Service were at Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home, 103 Maple Court in Newark with the Rev. Gerald Harris officiating. Burial in Marion Cemetery. Duffner, Captain Gerald J., USN (Ret) - Captain Gerald J. Duffner, USN (Ret), of Newark, died August 9, 2005. Friends called at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. this morning (Saturday, Aug. l3) at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. He was born July 31, 1914, in New Baden, Illinois, son of Cecil and Ella Mank Duffner. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1941. In 1943, Dr. Duffner was commissioned a Lieutenant, junior grade in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy; he served 26 years in the Navy, retiring in the grade of Captain in May 1969. His last three assignments were Surgeon, Atlantic Command and US Atlantic Fleet, Commanding officer, naval hospital embarked in USS Sanctuary and the Commanding Officer US Naval Submarine Medical Center, Groton, CT. Captain Duffner was awarded The Legion of Merit, with gold star in lieu of second award, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Vietnamese Navy Distinguished Service Order, Navy Unit Citation and eight campaign medals. He was employed for three years as CEO of Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic. He engaged in the private practice of Family Medicine as a partner in the Newark Medical Center. When the partnership dissolved in 1978, he continued in private practice in Newark and opened a satellite office in North Rose. He was also employed as Medical Director of the Wayne County Nursing Home, Newark Manor, Elm Manor Nursing Home and the Skilled Nursing Unit of Newark Hospital. In 1989, he was appointed the first Medical Director of the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Dr. Duffner served 19 years on the Medical Staff of the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and was President for one term. He retired in January 1991. Dr. Duffner had been licensed to practice medicine in both New York and Louisiana and he was a diplomate of the American Board of Occupational Medicine. He was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Medical Association, and was a past President of Wayne County Medical Society. Dr. Duffner is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughters Geraldine (Phil) Peters, Ph.D. of Simi Valley, CA; Mary (Dennis) Sanada, CPA of Reno, NV; a son Gerald 'Jack' (Debbie) of Newport Beach, CA; granddaughter Diane (Chris) Rippe, four grandsons Gerald Duffner III, Brent, Kevin and Chad Sanada; five great grandchildren Kaycie and Kylee Rippe, Quinton, Ella and Braeden Duffner. He is also survived by stepchildren Michael (Claudia) Thurston Ph.D., Melanie (Robert) Newby of Penfield, Michelle (Robert) Sandy of Naples, FL, and Tamara (Mark) Prodrick of Ontario; four step grandsons and five step- granddaughters. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Ralph, a sister Virginia and wives Mabel and Helen. Osborn, Ruth - Ruth E. Osborn, 74, of Williamson, died August 5, 2005. She was retired from working for Williamson Central Schools. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Paul 'Pete') Walker of Walworth; son, Kenneth Osborn of Newark; brother, Henry Hall of Pennsylvania; cousin Edna (Donald) Strouble of Montoursville, PA; brother Gladson (Alice) 'Osborn, sister-in-law Ruth Osborn; nieces and nephews. Navarrete, Leo - Leo Navarrete, 61, of Newark, died peacefully Sunday, July 31, 2005 at his home. Leo was born July 17, 1944 in Riobamba, Ecuador, son of the late Santiago Navarrete and Teresa Moreno de Navarrete.He was a professional soccer player in Ecuador. He came to the United State in 1969 and received his BBA from Baruch College in NYC in 1978. He became a naturalized US citizen in 1980. He worked in banking and finance for many years until his disease prevented him from continuing due to complication. Leo will be remembered by his wife Susan (Jess), to whom he was married for 31 years; four brothers and three sisters all of South America; many nieces and nephews. Arrangements entrusted to the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., Newark. Fulfilling his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Michael Church. Memorials may be sent to charities and research foundations involved in finding the cure for Parkinson's disease.

Brooks, Nancy C. - Nancy Brooks, 54, of Lyons, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at Strong Memorial Hospital. Nancy was born January 17, 1951 in Lyons, a daughter to Charles and Myrtle Loveless Bridger. She was employed by Wayne County Child Support for many years, and recently by Garlock's in Palmyra. She was predeceased by her father, Charles in 1969; she is survived by her son, Jason Brooks of Lyons; mother, Myrtle Samuels of Lyons; two brothers, David (Nancy) Bridger of Farmington, Charles Bridger of Lyons; nephew, Scott Bridger of Newark. Emmel, John W. - John W. Emmel, 51, of Van Marter Lane, Lyons, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 31, 2005 at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. John was born November 13, 1953, in Lyons, a son of Donald F. and Marylouise Thomas Emmel. He was a veteran of the Marines and was employed by the Lyons Central School District. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Aug. 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 5. Interment will be in South Lyons Cemetery with military honors. VerHow, Susan Marie - Susan Marie (Brownell) VerHow, of Macedon, died Monday, August 1, 2005 at home after a courageous battle against cancer. Predeceased by parents Gordon and Avis Brownell. Wiemann, Robert H. Sr. - Robert Bob Henry Wiemann Sr., 69, of Fairville, died peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, July 28, 2005. Faas, Ruth F. - Ruth F. Faas, 91, of Ontario, died July, 28, 2005. She was a retiree from New York Telephone Company. Life member of the First Baptist Church of Williamson, where she served as church organist for 60 years, member of the New York Telephone Pioneers, Ontario Eastern Star, and Ontario Historical Society. Templeton, Thomas - Thomas Templeton, 78, of Clyde, died Monday, August 1, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Templeton was born June 2, 1927, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the Army. He had retired from Cahoon Farms in Wolcott. Prior to moving to Clyde 8 years ago, he was a resident of Lyons. He is survived by his son, Jason Rowe of Marion, and one granddaughter, Hannah Loisse Rowe. At his request, prior calling hours will not be observed. Family and friends were invited to attend a graveside service at 9:30 a.m. this morning (Wednesday, Aug. 3) in Marion Cemetery in Marion. Merscher, Martha - Martha Merscher, 79, of Clifton Springs, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic. Martha was born January 7, 1942, in Salem, the daughter of the late Clinton and Elizabeth Coon. She was employed as a health aide at the Ryder Adult Home. Martha was a member of the Phelps American Legion Auxiliary, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She enjoyed making crafts and loved to go camping and fishing. Martha will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. Martha was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth and Dorothy; brothers, Harold, Richard, and Clinton. Reed, John Albert Sr. - John Albert 'Jack' Reed Sr, 79, of Clifton Springs, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Strong Memorial Hospital. John was born January 15, 1926 in Clifton Springs, the son of the late Albert and Mary Reed and had lived in the area all of his life. He was a lifelong farmer, owning and operating Reedland Farms. Bumpus, Ward H. - Ward H. Bumpus, 93, of Fayetteville, died Friday, January 7, 2005, in his home. Ward was born in Newark, on Dec. 18, 1911, to Lena and Olin Bumpus. Ward's father, Olin W. Bumpus operated the People's Store on West Union Street, which was later the Red & White. A 1929 graduate of Newark High School and a 1933 graduate of Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., with a degree in electrical engineering, he was an employee of FASCO Industries in Rochester. In Newark, Ward and his wife Natalie lived at 507 Mason Street, and were very active in the Park Presbyterian Church. They moved to Fayetteville in 1970, when he was transferred there. Ward retired from FASCO Industries in 1976. He was a member of Newark Lodge No. 83 and the Free and Accepted Masons, and was an active member of the Fayetteville Genealogy Society and Highland Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Highland Presbyterian Church with Dr. J. Ernest Johnson officiating. Mr. Bumpus is survived by his son, Bill and wife, Pat, of Galveston, Texas; a grandson, George Jones and family of Houston, Texas; a granddaughter, Robin McMahan and family of Carrollton, Ga.; six grandchildren; and caregivers, Sondra Cain and Crystal Wing of Fayetteville. Special thanks go out to his caregivers, who watched over him with great love and care. No one could ask for better care than these two ladies provided. They will always be part of our family. Rich, Stanley Haven - Stanley Haven Rich, 85, from Lyons died at dawn on July 18, 2005 in his home, surrounded by his family. Stanley was born in Chicago, IL, on July 28, 1919 with his twin brother Henry Haven Rich, sons to Stanley and Winifred Haven Rich of Winnetka, IL. He graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL., and graduated from Hobart College in Geneva, class of 1942, Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was a veteran of WWII, Captain, USMCR 1st Marine Division, Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester, Talasea and Peleliu. He was employed as an export manager for McDonald & Miller, Inc., in Chicago from 1946-1956. From 1956 he was President of Macintosh, Co., Lyons until his retirement in 1992. His activities and memberships included Scoutmaster in Lyons, Lyons School Board member, Lyons Planning Commission, Lyons Club, Buckaroos, skiing, sailing, hunting and golf. Predeceased by his wife, Janet Alice Kitchell, whom he married in 1944, parents, twin brother, Henry, sister Virginia. Survived by his 3 children, S. Haven (Dr. Laura Strohm) Rich of CA, Katherine Townley (Edson) Rich-Ennis of Lyons, Virginia Kitchell Rich of CA; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Trowbridge, Roy A. Jr. - Roy A. Trowbridge Jr., 53, of Palmyra, died peacefully on July 21, 2005, surrounded by his family. Zaborowski, Edward I. - Edward I. Zaborowski, 80, passed away Wed., July 20, 2005, at the Clifton Springs Nursing Home. He was born on April 4, 1925 to the late Stanley and Hattie Zaborowski. In 1987, he retired from Garlock after 33 years of service. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Edward was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 48 years, Lucile and his granddaughter, Kelly. Fitch, Rose Eunice - Rose Eunice Fitch, 92, of Newark, died Thursday, July 21, 2005, at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Mrs. Fitch was born Oct. 2, 1912, the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Gleason Case in Phelps. She worked for 32 years at Garlock doing several general jobs. Mrs. Fitch was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Woman's organization. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and working in the garden. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Edward E. Fitch on Aug. 26, 2004 daughter, Janet Bailey in 1998; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Fitch; grandson, Timothy Fitch; five brothers and two sisters. A memorial service was Monday at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, East Miller St. in Newark, with the Rev. Carlos Smith officiating. Marshall, Bernie - Bernard J. Marshall, 79, of Canandaigua, died July 21, 2005. Bernie was born in Geneva and attended schools there. He was a graduate of DeSales High School, class of 1944. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He was retired as a vice president at the former Sarah Coventry in Newark, after 28 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Merrill Hose Vol. Fire Company. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus in Geneva. After retirement he volunteered at Ontario ARC. He was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara I. Barker, Zora (Zoe) - Zoe Barker, 100, died July 16, 2005 at the St. John's Home in Rochester where she lived for the past several years. She celebrated her 100th birthday in good health and good spirits, on May 15. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. on Monday (August 15) at the Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Court, Newark. Private burial will be in the East Newark Cemetery. Zora was born on May 15, 1905 in San Francisco, California, the daughter of James B. and Edith Greene Emery. After the death of her mother, the family moved to Rochester, where Zoe attended Rochester schools and graduated from the University of Rochester in 1927. Moving to Newark in 1929, she taught social studies in the Newark schools until 1931, when she met and married Howard Barker. While raising her family on East Maple Avenue, she helped her husband in the family hardware business. Zoe served as Clerk of the Board of Education under President Cora Elliott and remained on the Board for 15 years. In 1955, she was part of the effort to centralize the Newark schools into a district and lay plans for a new Senior High School. She was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church. She became active in many local projects, including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Community Center Board, the Travelers Club, Newark Garden Club, the Hospital Auxiliary and the Newark Library. With her great love for the Newark Library, she and several friends established the 'Friends of the Library.' In 1959, Zoe Barker became the first woman to be recognized for her community contributions, receiving the 'Citizen of the Year' award. Also that year, she received the 'Fannie R. Bigelow Lifetime Achievement Award' at the University of Rochester. While living at the St. John's Home she remained active and served on the Board of Residents Council. She is survived by two sons Jim of Calabash, North Carolina, and John (Dorothy) of Glen Arbor, Michigan; two grandchildren, John Jr. and Julie Casesa; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by husband Howard in 1968, and by her sister Beulah Wagner. Memorials may be sent in her name to Newark Public Library Children's Fund, or Park Presbyterian Church. The family is being served by the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, East Miller Street.

Stoetzel, Buzz - Albert M. (Buzz) Stoetzel, 90, of Lyons, died July 20, 2005 at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Friends may call July 22 from 4-7 p.m. at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St., Lyons. A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, Lyons. Burial in South Lyons Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyons High School Athletic Dept. or St. Michaels Church. Buzz was born April 27, 1915 in Alloway, son of Daniel and Margaret Beston Stoetzel. He entered railroad service with the New York Central System on June 10, 1930. He retired from Conrail on October 1, 1976, after a railroad career spanning 40 years. He had been an Engineer of Signal Construction. Buzz lived his entire life in Lyons and was a community supporter. He authored 'Buzz Stoetzel's Scrapbook' for the Wayne County Star; which included pictures and stories of the history of Lyons and its people. He was honored in 1982 as the Lyons No. 1 fan. He coached Lyons Little League teams for many yrs. He was a member of St. Michael's Church and Lyons Rotary Club. He is survived by two sons, James of Georgetown, Massachusetts and Robert of Andover, Massachusetts; four grandchildren - Benjamin, Nathan and Alexandra Stoetzel and & Gabrielle Stoetzel Madigan. His wife Mary died Jan. 1994.

Tyler, Adriana - Adriana P. Tyler, 74, of East Palmyra died July 20, 2005. She was predeceased by her siblings William Brockhuizen, Marie Bush, Herman Brockhuizen, Cornelius Brockhuizen, Thomas Brockhuizen; parents, Herman & Adriana Brockhuizen. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harlin Tyler; children Cathy (Carl) Ormsbee of Newark, Nancy (Robert) Kelly of Phelps, David (Cindy) Tyler of Lyons, Donna Tyler of Spencerport; grandchildren, Carl Ormsbee II, Elizabeth Onnsbee, Matthew Tyler, Kristina Kelly, Patrick Tyler; Siblings, Robert Brockhuizen, Edward Brockhuizen, Corneilia Graham, Wilhelmina VanKouwenberg; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Arthurton, Mary - Mary J. Arthurton, 57, of Palmyra died July 19, 2005. She was born February 5, 1948, daughter of the late Kenneth G. and Mildred Arthurton; her brother Leslie 'Eddie' predeceased Mary. She is survived by twin sister Marsha MacWilliams; brothers K. George (Diane), Wayne (Valerie), A. James; sister-in-law Jean; niece Kristine (Donald) Gugula & their children, Donny and Abigail; nephews Wayne and Ryan; other friends and relatives. Mary retired from Garlock in Palmyra, after 32 years. She enjoyed crocheting, card games, reading and being with children. Lawton, Lyla - Lyla M. Lawton, 76, of Newark, died July 17, 2005. She was born on January 1, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Lawrence and Lucille Swick. For many years, she worked at the Zippo Plant in Bradford, Pennsylvania. She moved to Newark and was a senior companion at the Newark Developmental Center. Lyla is predeceased by her husbands, Heath Kellogg and Kenneth Lawton, a sister Donna Swick, three brothers Ronald, Lamont and Roger Swick. Lyla is survived by several cousins and many friends. Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2005, at the Paul L. Buono, Deanie Jo - Deanie Jo Gervel Buono, 59, of Lyons, died July 17, 2005 in Mahwah, New Jersey after a long illness. Deanie was born September 30, 1945, in Bradford, Tennessee, daughter of Joseph and Hazel Dean Smith Gervel. The family moved to New Jersey in 1945 and then to Lyons in 1956. Deanie graduated from Lyons High School and attended Syracuse University. She worked for the largest bank in New Jersey as a trust officer. Deanie was a gifted artist and painted many beautiful pictures. She was an avid reader and loved animals. She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Gervel in 1980. Deanie is survived by her husband, Joseph Buono; mother, Hazel Dean Gervel of Lyons, and her brother, Ricky Gervel. A memorial service at the Lyons Presbyterian Church will be planned for September. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Lyons, or the Humane Society of Wayne County.

Bolden, Daisy Mae - Daisy Mae Bolden, 87, of Clifton Springs, died July 18, 2005. Daisy is survived by many family and friends at the Clifton Springs Nursing Home.
