At the Old Lighthouse

Sunday's performance by the Rochester Scottish Pipe Band drew quite a crowd to the Old Sodus Point Lighthouse.

The final concert of the season will be next Sunday (Aug. 31) and will feature the hi-jinks of The Krazy Firemen.

Rochester Scottish Pipe Band

The Krazy Firemen, or die verruckten Feuerwhermanner (their German name), are a nine-piece band specializing in Oktoberfest music.

The Krazy Firemen have performed at Oktoberfest throughout the Eastern United States and Canada, as well as cities in Germany. It may be hard to keep your seat while listening to their wonderful polkas.

Bring your own seating to the 3 p.m. free outdoor concert.

As always, the Lighthouse Museum and gift shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on concert Sundays. Climb the 52 steps of the tower for the original view seen by Sodus Point's Lighthouse keepers. Volunteers of the Sodus Bay Historical Society serve refreshments.
