Discover 2000 Read at the Williamson Public library. A series of free programs all summer long will include a reading program, story times for children, and many special events for the whole family. The program is entirely free to the public; registration begins Monday, June 26.

Kids, sign up and get a Space Kit which includes your first Reading Data sheet to log time spent reading books of your choice, or being read to. When your sheet is complete, return it for a Space Buck to spend at the Command Center Gift Shop! Other things to discover in your Space Kit: a star bookmark, a space sticker, an astronaut patch and materials to make a paper rocket. Be creative, the sky's the limit, when it's finished, please bring your rocket to the library and it will soar all summer long in the Library Space Galaxy. Just for fun, get out those telescopes and watch the night sky. Record what you see this summer in the booklet provided and earn an extra Space Buck.

Tuesday, July 11 at 2 p.m. Blast Off with 'Destination: Planet Library.' Search for Planet Library, and discover all sorts of stories, songs, skits, magic, and a big blue puppet named George. This show is designed for all ages by Tom and Cindy Rasley. Together, they have presented several story programs all across New York State since 1996.

Movie Nights in the cool library galaxy begin with Star Wars Thursday, July 6 at 6 p.m. showing on a big screen with special video equipment on loan from the Pioneer Library System. July 13 at 6 p.m., The Empire Strikes Back on July 27 at 6 p.m. Return of the Jedi and August 3 at 6 p.m. Phantom Menace. Free refreshments.

Children ages 3 and up are invited to Storytimes. Discover the past, present and imagine the future on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 beginning July 12. In these half hour sessions, children will enjoy stories, songs, puppets and fingerplays. No registration is necessary.

A special Lap-Sit Storytime for children ages 18 months to 3-years-old will be held on Monday mornings at 10:30 beginning July 17. Registration is required for this program and each child must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Wednesday, July 26 at 7 p.m. Family Night Space BINGO. Spend a relaxing evening with your family, enjoy refreshments and WIN fantastic prizes! Everyone knows how to play BINGO.

Tuesday, July 18 & Tuesday, August 8 from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Crafts all day! Stop by the library and be creative! Material tables will be set up so that children of all ages can create out-of-this-world projects to take home. Parents please remember these guidelines.. all children must be attended by an adult or mature young adult in the craft room. On Thursday, August 3 at 2 p.m. kids 5 and up are invited to make a Slimy Alien Mitt Puppet! Because this little alien is slimy and gross the class size is limited, so sign up soon.

'Bubble Mania' returns Friday, August 11 at 1 p.m. Once again Doug Rougeux will amaze us with a Soap Bubble Spectacular! Combining soap bubble artistry & science the Bubble Man presents an action packed 45 minute program sure to astonish any audience. After this entertaining and effervescent show all guests are invited to stay for special treats, and refreshments and help us come in for a landing from a busy fun-filled summer reading program at the
