Sodus Point, NY
Hometown Page Sodus Point - a most popular recreational hub of the area. Located on the shore of Lake Ontario, it is one of two villages in the Town of Sodus. When in the village, if you are not looking out at a Lake Ontario sunset, you are watching the sun gleam on beautiful Sodus Bay. It is dotted with marinas, cottages, restaurants, antique shops, bed & breakfast
inns, tackle shops, golf, fishing charters and gift shops.
Another site to look for is the International Fresh Water Resource Center - Still being established, the facility began as an idea to encourage and provide a vehicle for better understanding of freshwater resources throughout the world. Plans include an auditorium, aquarium, a museum, library, laboratory, lecture halls and overnight docking/accommodations - an ambitious project that is just beginning to unfold. It is located in the old Genesee Malt House.
A blend of War of 1812 history, combined with breathtaking scenery and modern conveniences - all in the Village of Sodus Point. Enjoy the beach, take a walk on the pier, or just sit and feed the ducks.
